Police arrested an Oregon man Tuesday night at San Francisco International Airport after he threatened to blow up a plane, authorities said Wednesday.Mark Todd Field, 46, didn't have a bomb, but he made the threat at about 9:54 p.m. in the International Terminal because he was angry about a problem with a plane ticket, said Detective Sgt. Wesley Matsuura of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
An employee from Philippine Airlines told the man he would have to buy a round-trip ticket if he wanted to get on the plane. Matsuura said said Field, of Gold Beach, Ore., lost his temper and pointed to a cell phone he was holding and said, "I'm going to press this and blow up the plane." Read more...

A 35-year-old man was arrested in Ocean Beach early Thursday after police said he hit a woman on the head with a bongo drum.Officers were called to Voltaire Street near Etiwanda Street about 3:40 a.m. by someone who heard a woman calling for help, San Diego police said. Read more...

Two-fer!
Canby resident William Jake Traverso, accused of supplying steroids to former Canby Officer Jason Deason, was scheduled to appear in Clackamas County Circuit Court at 1:30 p.m. Monday while his attorney argued a pre-trial discovery motion.But he never made it.
A state police trooper stopped Traverso on his way to court.
He was arrested, accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine, and violating the conditions of his prior release. Read more...

Man headed to jail after hot dog theft. Seriously, I just typed that.
A Massachusetts man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing a hot dog from a man as he sat under a tree at a city park.Antonio Judd pleaded guilty Monday in Worcester Central District Court to charges including larceny from a person.
Police said Judd stole a hot dog from a man in Elm Park in Worcester in August after flashing what appeared to be a gun. Read more...

A Penndel man has been jailed on charges of having 1,000 images of child pornography on his computer.Timothy Daniel Dolezal, 57, of the 30 block of West Woodland Avenue was arrested Thursday on charges of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of communication facility, that being the computer, according to court documents.
He was arraigned early Friday by District Judge Daniel Finello Jr. and sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Read more...
