How much will you be paying the man?
It's 91X's Rock the Vote Block Party Weekend... We want you to hear killer blocks of music from your favorite artists and get registered to vote before the California registration deadline.So in the sprit of this intense election season... I've decided to do something I usually stay the hell away from; I've got a political blog for you! But don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm not giving you my opinion on either candidate. I trust that you’re not a dumbass and you can do that for yourself. LOL. What I’ve decided to do is post an article about a website that allows you to figure out how much you will be paying in taxes depending on who wins the election. It's pretty freaking cool man. So if you are interested in money because... umm I don't know... The economy is crappy right now you should check out this website for sure! It takes a minute to load so be patient.

Online tool estimates taxes under McCain, Obama

Voters whose bottom line is taxes can use a new online tool to calculate what their own bottom line would be with the IRS under a Barack Obama or John McCain administration.
The model developed by a business software company and an accounting professor in Maine estimates how individual income taxes would be affected under plans put forth by the two presidential candidates.
The Portland-based company Quantrix says taxpayers who log onto http://www.electiontaxes.com and enter their income can obtain a free estimate of what they would pay in taxes for 2009 through 2012 under each of the two presidential candidates.
"The economy is a key factor in this presidential election, and our interactive tool enables individuals to make an informed choice when casting their vote," said professor Jeffrey Gramlich of the University of Southern Maine. "With just a few keystrokes, this model enables voters to see how these tax plans will impact their personal bottom line."
For example, the model indicates that a couple with two children earning $100,000 with $20,000 in itemized deductions would have a net tax bill for 2009 of $9,555 under McCain and $9,002 under Obama. That compares with a $9,505 tax bill for this couple under current law, the electiontaxes.com site says. In another example, a single taxpayer making $50,000 and using the standard deduction would pay $6,867 under McCain and $6,325 under Obama, compared with $6,827 under current law.
Neither campaign responded to requests for comment on the site or its results.
McCain and Obama both have vowed to reduce the overall tax load, although Obama wants to raise taxes on families making more than $250,000 a year. McCain's proposals include extending President Bush's tax cuts for all incomes, a move Obama opposes for those upper incomes.
"It's easy to become confused by political rhetoric during an election season, and the average citizen would need an accountant to determine the real impact of each plan," Quantrix CEO Chris Houle said. "Professor Gramlich and Quantrix have analyzed both campaign's tax plans and developed a working model that people can use to better understand the impact of each plan on their personal finances."
Individuals who log onto the site may enter only their income or provide more detailed information such as deductions, retirement plan contributions, child care expenses and income subject to capital gains treatment. Users are not required to provide names or other personal information.

Damn that was a rush...
Last night was a good freakin time at Johnny V’s, and after I was done hosting I hung out few a few friends who had come to support me. We were B.S.ing about some random crap when I come to realize that one of my friends has a bike. No... not a beach cruiser, but a bike that can go up 235 miles per hour! Needless to say I was STOKED! See I had never been on a motorcycle because most of the dudes I knew back east who had them, all did dumb ass stuff when they were on their bikes. I wasn’t about to risk my life just to get to go on a motorcycle. My friend who has a bike here in San Diego is a pretty level headed dude. So after he saw how crazy excited I was getting about his bike he offered to give me a ride.Killer... I just got back and it was bad ass. Now I totally understand why people love their motorcycles. It’s such an adrenalin rush... We were raced through the streets and did some crazy ass white lining. I’m not gonna lie to you man, it was out of control... I even let out a little scream at one point. We were speeding down the road, who the hell knows how fast we were going, when we hit a dip. The bike popped up, my ass came off the seat, and I let out a little scream. LOL. I’m a chick... we do that sometimes . But I’m not scared, I want to do it again! It made me feel alive... It’s for sure something you need to add to the “do before you die list!”

Seriously man I’ve got your ass covered. Just not in a, I’m tucking you into bed kind of way... Hahaha. Tonight is 91x night at Johnny V’s in PB with me (Christy Taylor). That means you are taken care of! See I’ve got your cover charge so you won’t have to pay a freaking thing to get in! Plus they’ve got 2 for 1 drinks at the bar! Every week just keeps getting bigger and better than the one before. So don’t be lame and sit at home on a “Thirsty Thursday.” Come out and play... It might just be that little pick me up you need. Having a good time is not a crime... Yet! LOL After we get finished that might change ;-)
