Lily Allen doesn't mind burnt CDs 11/20/2009
Lily Allen has waded into the illegal download debate again, claiming that she doesn't oppose people purchasing burned copies of her CDs as long as they pay for them. The singer, who previously launched a campaign against illegal file-sharing and said that music piracy and downloading is damaging the industry, said she wants fans to appreciate the value of her work.

"If someone comes up with a burnt copy of my CD and offers it to you for £4 I haven't a problem with that as long as the person buying it places some kind of value on my music," she told Key 103.

The singer's old anti-file-sharing blog was supported by a host of artists including Mark Ronson, Gary Barlow of Take That and Bat For Lashes Natasha Khan before she pulled the plug on it in September because the "abuse" she was getting for doing it was "getting too much".

The star initially criticised the Featured Artists Coalition, which is supported by Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, over their stance on illegal downloads. But they later sent her a letter outlining that they were in fact opposed to the concept in principle.

According to Undercover.com.au the duo will headline Wembley Arena on September 3 next year, then will play the Manchester MEN Arena on September 6. They will reportedly headline the Dublin O2 on August 5.

The leaked dates also reveal allegedly booked shows across Europe, the USA and Australia.

Them Crooked Vultures on 2nd Album... 11/20/2009
Them Crooked Vultures have confirmed that they are to start work on their second album.

Despite their self-titled debut having only been released earlier this month, the three-piece say they are already thinking about its follow-up.

"I felt we've only just started to pick up steam. Why would we want to stop now?" singer Josh Homme told The Sun, while bassist John Paul Jones agreed. "We all know we have so much more in us yet," he said.

Dave Grohl said that "when we make our second record, it's going to be even more powerful than this one".

Meanwhile, Homme has said he doesn't like the band being labelled a 'supergroup'. "It's not that I hate that term," he said. "I just don't shave with it, I don't eat with it and it doesn't mean anything to me."

STP in the Studio... 11/19/2009
Stone Temple Pilots will spend the rest of 2009 in the studio. Scott Weiland and Co. have postponed the remaining U.S. dates on their tour to get to work on “their highly anticipated record, which will be coming out in the early spring of next year,” the reunited band announced on their official Website. As Rolling Stone previously reported, the group has written roughly 18 songs for the album, which will be produced by Don Was.

Arctic Monkeys new album details... 11/19/2009
Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders has revealed that the band have already discussed the recording of their next album – although they plan to take time out before gearing up work on it. The drummer told BBC 6music that the band, currently on tour in the UK, plan to whittle down potential songs for the album further down the line.

"We're already talking about when we can record again, but I still enjoy being on tour as well," he said. He added: "It's good to have time to work stuff out, then at least you can start doing the quality control before and actually record what you think is decent, rather than recording hundreds of songs to then find out you only like 10 of them."

DJ AM’s collection on eBay 11/19/2009
From now until December 14th, you can bid on more than 800 pairs of sneakers from DJ AM’s collection on eBay. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the DJ AM Memorial Fund, which strives to help people struggling with addiction, the L.A. Times reports.

Another Oasis Type of Thing... 11/16/2009
In the middle of an Italian radio interview aimed at promoting his Pretty Green clothing line, former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher revealed that he's currently working on music with all of his old Oasis band mates not named Noel. (Via Billboard.) Their new band, however, won't be called Oasis. "Oasis is done," he reiterated, expressing a long-overdue and now factual sentiment.
In the interview, he also mentioned that his new band should start gigging "in a couple of months" and that the end of Oasis climaxed with a guitar smashing session between him and his brother. (Via NME.) Would you expect anything less?

New Jack White Collaboration! 11/16/2009
With the Dead Weather taking a break from touring this winter, Jack White is set to busy himself producing a new LP for 72-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Wanda Jackson, according to The Oklahoman. (Via TwentyFourBit.) Over the course of her five-decade career, Jackson racked up numerous rockabilly, country, and rock hits ("Let's Have a Party", "Fujiyama Mama"), dated Elvis Presley, and generally nailed the whole southern-bad-ass-with-class thing.

Comparing the collaboration to White's work with Loretta Lynn on 2004's Van Lear Rose, Jackson told the The Oklahoman, "They had a super album, but he didn't have her do anything different. She just did her little Loretta Lynn songs. But he told me he's gonna stretch me some, so we'll see." Jackson's last album, 2003's Heart Trouble, featured Elvis Costello and the Cramps.

Faith No More "Reunited" 11/13/2009
PiL reunion tour funded by Country Life butter 11/12/2009
John Lydon has admitted that his upcoming tour is only happening because of the money he has made from starring in the Country Life butter TV adverts. The frontman added that he's "living on the lucky end of a shoestring" until the band receive the money for their first gig (scheduled to be at O2 Academy Birmingham on December 15).

"The money I got from that advert is the advance on this," Lydon told the Camden New Journal about the Public Image Ltd. tour. He then defended his appearance in the TV adverts, saying that the British public should be grateful to him for doing so because of the forthcoming gigs they enabled him to perform.

"Why are they questioning me?" he said. "What manual am I supposed to adopt? I'm promoting a British product which I'm very proud of. Anything I can do to help British industry is fine by me and in return you've got PiL."
