It’s almost time for Beer X at Waterfront Park on August 20th and the Beer for Breakfast crew welcomed Ballast Point Brewing on the show this week.
Ballast Point Brewing won’t only be pouring during the beer festival portion of the day, but Ballast Point beer will be available to enjoy while listening to Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Chicano Batman, and Pachyman.
Marty, Danielle, and Brewmaster Paul kick Beer for Breakfast off with Speedboat Blonde, a lightly hopped ale with a touch of Himalayan salt and lime with an ABV of 4.8%. Modeled after Koln-style ales, this beer is lightly hopped with citrusy, floral noble hops and finished off with a touch of Himalayan Sea salt and lime.
The crew also had the just-added-to-the-family Hazy Sculpin IPA. Hazy Sculpin comes in at 7% ABV and is an East Coast take on the classic West Coast Sculpin that we all fell in love with all those years ago. Hazy Sculpin is juicy, earthy, and approachable with soft bitterness, but still lets the hops shine.
