The 91X Beer for Breakfast crew is going South of the Border this week with beer from Cerveceria Transpeninsular.
Marty, Danielle, and Brewmaster Paul Segura start things off with One in Eight.
One in Eight (4.2% ABV) is a kettle sour that is dry hopped with Idaho Gem hops and Jamaica flower. A daring style with an herbal aroma, red and sweet fruits, accompanied by the refreshing acidity of a Berliner Weisse. One in Eight is a collaboration between Transpeninsular Brewery, CLS Farms of Moxee WA, Yakima Valley Hops, Mi CerveSA, Fermentis, I Wanna Beer With You and Mujeres Tasters of Beer in Mexico. Its name says “One in Eight” was born as a beer with a cause since part of the profits from the sale will be donated to “GRUPO RETO De Ensenada” Institution that has been supporting women with breast cancer for several decades.
They also sampled Zillah Killah, a 7.1% ABV American IPA hopped with Talus, LUPOSMAX, Citra, Centennial , and Mosaic.
