Mission Brewing Co is this weeks featured brewery on Beer for Breakfast.
Mission Brewing Co opened its doors in East Village in 2007 and continues to reinvent and innovate itself. In the last year Mission Brewing Co. completed its brand refresh, re-established its core lineup, updated logos, and new package sizes (16 and 19.2oz cans). Mission Brewing Co has also added an innovation program / 3BBL system to the East Village taproom. Head brewer Troy Janikowski and the team are putting out super cool small batch beers to compliment the core including high abv seltzer cocktails, GMO yeast trials, new hazy methods, sour series, rotating lagers, and more.
Brewmaster Paul Segura kicked things off with Marty and Danielle by sampling Waves of Haze Hazy IPA. This tropical, New-England style IPA has an ABV of 6.2% and features a custom blend of fruit-forward hops for a juicy profile with notes of guava, papaya, and mango.
The Beer for Breakfast crew then moves on to a classic Mission Brewing beer: Shipwrecked DIPA. This 9.25% ABV Imperial India Pale Ale is the boldest and most recognizable hop-forward beer Mission Brewing offers. It has an old-school malty backbone balanced a huge addition of classic C-Hops.
