After Danielle drank her face off in Denver for the Great American Beer Festival and saw North Park Beer Company clean up with 4 medals PLUS Brewery of the Year she and Brewmaster Paul Segura knew they had to celebrate NPBC this week on Beer for Breakfast.
NPBC won gold in the category English India Pale Ale or New Zealand India Pale Ale for NZ-FU!, silver in the category Juicy or Hazy Imperial India Pale Ale for X-Raying Citra, and bronze for Imperial India Pale Ale Double-Fu! as well as bronze in the highly contentious category of American India Pale Ale for Hop-Fu!
Marty, Danielle, and Paul start things off with Hop-Fu! This Double Dry Hopped West Coast IPA comes in at 7.5% ABV and uses chinook, Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic, and Columbus hops. They also had Mr. Hoppy Dank Supreme IPA, a 7.1% ABV West Coast IPA loaded with Strata hops and Citra Incognito and hit with a big dry hop of Mosaic Cryo before getting a mega double dry hop dose of the DANK TRIFECTA: Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Strata!
Stop by North Park Beer Co.’s tasting room in North Park on University Avenue and keep an eye out for a second tasting room in Bankers Hill opening soon.
