The San Diego International Beer Festival (SDIBF) at the San Diego County Fair is next weekend and we had the beer coordinators, Tom Nickel and Tyson Blake, on Beer for Breakfast ABV to let us sample some of the winners.
Each year, the SDIBF represents an international collection of hundreds of beers from more than 23 states and 20 countries, in the format of a public tasting event and private competition.
These are the beers we tried:
Delirium Tremens Belgian Strong Ale 8.5% ABV
Council Brewing Co. 3rd Anniversary Biere de Miel 11.2% ABV
Gold Medal winner in the Specialty Beer category
Nickel Beer Co. Bruce Banner Grade IIPA 8% ABV
Bronze Medal winner in Imperial IPA category
