“It is with great humility that I’m posting this call for help. I would never think I would have to ask my friends for help in this manner but this situation has put me into a very tough spot.

As many of you know, I checked into the hospital due to severe stomach pain on Feb 16. It turned out a gall stone had worked it’s way out of my gall bladder and into a bile duct in my GI tract. This condition required immediate surgery. During the procedure, the surgeon accidentally perforated my bile duct which caused a septic chain-reaction of most of my internal GI organs. My pancreas began to eat my insides in a worst-case scenario, Necrotizing Pancreatitis. The pain and sheer shock of it all is indescribable.
I was basically in a medically induced coma for several weeks as they performed procedure after procedure to try and remove the dead tissue from my gut. To be honest, it was touch and go for me there for a while. After a month the doctors felt like they had seen enough stability and released me. Five days later I was back in the ER with a 105 fever as the infectious material in my stomach was still in full swing. I was admitted again and am still on my current hospital stay – going on 3 months in a hospital bed. I am finally on the back end of it now though, the doctors have performed 5 necrosectomies and tell me there is no more infectious tissue in my guts.
Being in the Hospital for nearly 3 months I had no ability to work. I have the rehearsal spaces but they mostly cover the overhead of my building so I don’t really make any money from them. I make my living through producing music, writing, teaching, collaborating and recording out of Phaser Control. It’s how I pay my rent, bills and feed my kids. I had no ability to be there to work these past months so my financial situation has become incredibly dire. I am months behind on bills and am in fear of losing my business and possibly more.
This is why I’m asking for your help. If you have anything to contribute to help me try and get to a somewhat stable financial place, I would be truly humbled if you could donate. I will use the money to pay for months overdue bills and car payments, SDGE, etc.”
Sincerely and with great humility,
TJ
