The Bassics are a four-piece American mod rock band from Imperial Beach, California. This new face of the youth explosion brings a fresh perspective on contemporary rock with their own brand of the power-pop and proto-punk sounds of the forgotten underground. Driven by the harsh conditions surrounding them, they translate their anger though their music and powerful performance.
Vino Martinez, the oldest at 21, plays bass as the primary songwriter and creative force behind the music. His brother 19 year old Sam flashes the Rickenbacker while giving a true voice to the band. Underneath, 19 year old drummer Carl Mendez propels the music into motion while only 17 year old Nick Piñeda rages through on lead guitar.
Dubbing their fanbase the “Reactionary Youth,” The Bassics set out to provoke change in the standards expected from the youth today.
