Part of a new generation of bands formed over Zoom and FaceTime, Tarnish began in 2020 when guitarist/vocalist Karl Forster and bassist Dane Carlson started working on tracks despite living over 400 miles apart. It was slow moving at first, but when drummer Jack Breger joined at the tail end of the year, things started moving exponentially faster, with their first single being released in March of 2021. Fast forward to today, and Tarnish has just released their debut EP, “Things I Haven’t Lost Yet.” With a wide range of influences from Movements to Blink 182 to Led Zeppelin, Tarnish aims to create songs with hard-hitting riffs, relatable lyrics, and an overall high energy take on the widespread emo genre.
